Being A Mentor
Our network of mentees is made up from a wide array of backgrounds, career stages and education. What unites them all is a well-formed Catholic faith that they wish to bring with them through their careers.

Our mentees are looking for guidance from professionals who take their faith just as seriously as their career. We don't expect you to be saints, but to ensure our mentees can feel comfortable sharing their experiences and goals, we expect all our mentors to be fully initiated and practicing Catholics.

As a mentor, you will meet a large number of mentees at our Catholic Connect event. Here, you will have a chance to introduce yourself and chat about your career and faith. Following this event, mentees receive a form to nominate their preferred mentor and mentors are then assigned accordingly. We try to assign mentors with mentees aligned with their areas of experience.

Once assigned a mentee, we help organise a monthly 45-60 minute catch up at a regular time and place (or online, although we strongly recommend in-person). Mentor Catch Ups provide the opportunity to for mentees chat openly and confidentially about their career challenges, goals and most importantly their faith. We take a hands off approach but can help facilitate a meeting plan for the first Mentor Catch Up.
